Dame A L'Orgue French Cushion
Dame A L'Orgue , or Lady and the Organ, is a French woven jacquard tapestry panel. The artwork is an extract from the famous set of 6 medieval tapestries The Lady and the Unicorn, depicting the five senses, the sixth commonly considered to be a declaration of love. Woven in about 1511, they feature the arms of Jean le Viste and are now housed in the Cluny Museum, Paris. The background is a stylized version of the Mille-fleurs. The scene is surrounded by an intricate border.
